DIGICHART, INC.’S DIGICHART OB-GYN, RECEIVES ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 CERTIFICATION
Brentwood, TN - December 6th, 2010 - digiChart, Inc., announced today that digiChart OB-GYN™, version 8.0, is 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on December 2, 2010, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable ELIGIBLE PROVIDER certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
“For more than 10 years, digiChart has delivered OB-GYNs with the technology solutions they need to better track patient care and streamline clinical and administrative processes,” said Dr. G. William Bates, President and Chief Executive Officer of digiChart. “Achieving this certification demonstrates digiChart’s commitment to enhancing our offerings and providing innovative technology solutions that enable OB-GYNs to spend more time with patients, improve office efficiencies and, at the same time, improve financial performance.
“Although digiChart is a single-specialty EHR dedicated to obstetrics and gynecology, the company is delighted to certify as a comprehensive EHR with a 5-Star Usability rating as part of CCHIT’s separate and independently developed certification plan. The commission states that 5-Star Usability rating is intended to serve healthcare providers looking for maximal assurance that the product will meet their complex needs, as well as support their achievement of meaningful use to qualify for financial incentives.”
The ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that Complete EHRs meet all of the 2011/2012 criteria and EHR Modules meet one or more – but not all – of the criteria approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology.
“CCHIT is pleased to be testing and certifying products so that companies are now able to offer these products to providers who wish to purchase and implement certified EHR technology and achieve meaningful use in time for the 2011-2012 incentives,” said Karen M. Bell, M.D., M.S.S., Chair, CCHIT.

ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification conferred by CCHIT does not represent an endorsement of the certified EHR technology by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services nor does it guarantee the receipt of incentive payments.
