digiChart’s EHR for OB-GYNs Earns Full CCHIT® Certification
Nashville, TN - November 30, 2011 - digiChart, Inc., today announced that the company’s electronic health record (EHR), digiChart OB-GYN™, Version 8.0, has received full certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology as a CCHIT Certified® 2011 Ambulatory product. digiChart OB-GYN is a single-specialty EHR designed by OB-GYNs specifically for OB-GYN practices.

The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology’s (CCHIT®) inspection process is based on real-life medical scenarios designed to test products rigorously against the complex needs of healthcare providers. As part of the process, successful use is verified at live sites.

The CCHIT Certified® program is an independently developed certification that includes a rigorous inspection of an EHR’s integrated functionality, interoperability and security using criteria developed by CCHIT’s broadly representative, expert work groups.
digiChart OB-GYN, Version 8.0, was also certified as a Complete EHR in a separate and distinct certification on December 2, 2010, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. The 2011/2012 criteria support the Stage 1 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
